How to make a VPN Server using Windows XP Professional

- On the Desktop, right-click the “My Network Places” icon.

 

 

 

 

 

- Choose “Properties” from the menu. The “Network connections” window appears.

 

 

 

 

- Double click the “New Connection Wizard” icon.

 

 

 

 

 

- In the first dialog, click “Next”.

 

 

 

 

 

- Then choose “Set up an advanced connection” and click “Next”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

- Choose “Accept incoming connections” and click “Next”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

- In the following dialog, DON’T SELECT ANYTHING ! Just click “Next”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

- Select “Allow virtual private connections” and click “Next”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

- In the following dialog, click on the “Add…” button.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

- Enter the username (ex: “vpn”), fullname (ex: “vpn”) , password (ex: “vpn123”), confirm password (ex: “vpn123”) for accesing the new VPN Server,

then click the “OK” button.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

- Make sure that the new user (“vpn”) is selected in the list, then click “Next”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

- In the following dialog, click “Next”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

- In the last dialog, click “Finish”.

 

 

 

 

Wait for the VPN Server to be created!

 

The VPN Server is now ready!
